Meet Dr. Jelson

Jelson Yalung, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Jelson is a Southern California native. He attended the University of California, Los Angeles where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Jelson then completed a General Practice Residency through UCLA providing dental care to medically compromised patients in various hospitals including Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. He continued on to Loma Linda University for his Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Jelson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a distinction held by less than 35% of the profession, and one that recognizes the doctor’s pursuit of continued clinical excellence and proficiency.

Dr. Jelson is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, California Association of Orthodontists, American Board of Orthodontics, California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

Outside of the office, Dr. Jelson enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and outdoor activities. He enjoys competing in triathlons and has completed multiple Ironman distance triathlons. Dr. Jelson is also passionate about being active in the community. He enjoys volunteering and giving back and recently helped coach local high school students in running their first LA marathon.
